RIA APARECIO, aSSISTANT Teacher

Ria was born and raised on a tropical island of the Philippines, moving to Cayman in early 2018.

 Ria has 3 siblings including her twin sister Rio who is also part of the Island Montessori team. During her college years, Ria took classes towards a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and  has completed Vocational Courses in Computer Literacy, as well as Childcare fundamentals.

Ria has worked in a variety of childcare roles, and joined the school in June 2021. Ria enjoys a simple approach to life, and believes that her humble beginnings taught her the values and principals to allow her to enjoy happiness and success in what she sets out to do. These are just the words that shaped her to be the best version of herself. Ria spends her extra time in sports, particularly basketball and tennis, which keeps her physically and mentally fit in everything she does.  Her passion is to always impart knowledge and share good practices and experiences to the people around her. 

 As an assistant teacher in Montessori, Ria strives to be a great example to the children. It motivates her to let the little ones experience the good values in life. She always believes that the way to the right path is being with right people.
